CONJOI™ — App Permissions, User Content, Reporting & Account Deletion Policy

Connect. Career. Community.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

PART A — APP PERMISSIONS POLICY

CONJOI follows a minimum-permission approach.

The application will request access only where reasonably necessary for an actual feature.

1. Camera Permission

Purpose:

CONJOI may request Camera permission when the user chooses to take a profile photograph, capture a photograph, capture an allowed document, or use a supported verification feature.

User Control:

Camera access will be requested when the feature is used. The user may deny access. CONJOI will not use the camera for unrelated purposes.

2. Photos and Videos Permission

CONJOI may allow users to select profile photographs, cover photographs, portfolio images, documents/media and other permitted content.

For occasional media selection, CONJOI should use the Android Photo Picker or another privacy-preserving system picker where technically appropriate.

3. Storage / Files Permission

CONJOI may allow users to select a resume, CV or other permitted document.

Where possible, use the Android system file picker rather than requesting broad device storage access.

Do not request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE unless the app has an eligible core functionality and the required Google Play declaration/review is satisfied.

4. Location Permission

Location permission should be requested only if CONJOI provides a feature requiring location.

Possible purposes include nearby jobs, location-based opportunities, location-based professional services and map functionality.

The app should request the minimum location scope necessary.

5. Microphone Permission

Microphone access may be requested only if CONJOI provides an actual feature such as voice messaging, audio recording or voice/video communication.

6. Contacts Permission

CONJOI should avoid requesting broad contact-book access unless it is genuinely required by a core feature.

Where possible, the Android system Contact Picker should be used.

7. Notification Permission

CONJOI may request notification permission for job alerts, application updates, interview notifications, chat messages and account/security alerts.

8. Phone/SMS Permission

CONJOI should not request access to SMS or call logs merely for OTP verification if an alternative verification mechanism is available.

9. Internet Access

CONJOI requires internet/network access to provide online services such as account authentication, job listings, applications, messaging, profile synchronisation, notifications and cloud services.

PART B — USER-GENERATED CONTENT POLICY

10. Content Covered

CONJOI may contain user-generated profiles, resumes, photographs, job advertisements, comments, messages, community posts, professional information and other permitted content.

11. Prohibited Content

Users must not submit illegal content, fraudulent jobs, fake profiles, impersonation, scams, threats, harassment, hate content, discriminatory abuse, sexual exploitation, child sexual content, malware, phishing, stolen personal information, copyrighted content without permission or other prohibited content.

12. Reporting

CONJOI will provide an accessible Report mechanism for users and content.

Examples:

Reported content may be reviewed by CONJOI's moderation/safety team.

  • Profile → ⋮ → Report User
  • Job → ⋮ → Report Job
  • Post → ⋮ → Report Content
  • Chat → ⋮ → Report

13. Blocking

CONJOI will provide an accessible Block User mechanism where user-to-user interaction or messaging is available.

Example:

  • User Profile → ⋮ → Block User

14. Moderation

CONJOI may remove content, hide content, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, investigate reports, preserve evidence where legally necessary and cooperate with lawful authorities.

PART C — ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION POLICY

15. In-App Account Deletion

Users must be able to find account deletion within the application.

Recommended implementation:

The app should clearly explain that deletion affects the account and associated data.

  • Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account

16. Account Deletion

CONJOI will provide an user account deletion facility to get the OTP confirmation from account user.

17. Verification Before Deletion

CONJOI may request reasonable verification before completing deletion to prevent unauthorized deletion of another user's account.

18. Data Deleted

Subject to lawful retention requirements, account deletion should address associated account data, which may include profile information, professional information, photographs, resumes, application information, messages, account identifiers and other associated personal data.

19. Lawful Retention

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, tax/accounting records, dispute resolution, regulatory requirements and enforcement of legal rights.

20. No Artificial Obstruction

CONJOI should not make account deletion unnecessarily difficult. Deleting an account should not merely hide or deactivate the profile.

21. Data Safety Consistency

The information described in this policy must remain consistent with the actual Android application, backend data processing, third-party SDKs, Privacy Policy, Google Play Data Safety declaration and Play Store disclosures.

PART D — USER CONSENT AND DISCLOSURE

22. Permission Disclosure

Where a permission may not be reasonably expected by a user, CONJOI should explain the purpose before triggering the Android permission request.

Example:

“CONJOI needs camera access only when you choose to take or capture a profile photograph or supported document. You can deny this permission, but camera-based features will not be available.”

23. Privacy Policy Link

The app should provide an easily accessible Privacy Policy link:

  • Registration Screen → Privacy Policy
  • Settings → Privacy Policy
  • About → Privacy Policy

24. Terms Acceptance

During registration, provide:

☐ I agree to the CONJOI Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

☐ I agree to get the communication on my registered WhatsApp number with the subject CONJOI.

25. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in Android, Google Play requirements, CONJOI features, privacy practices or applicable law.
